Welcome to the George Kates Summer Cottage!
George W. Kates built his summer cottage in 1895. Kates was the first tax assessor for Avalon.
Originally anchored at 254 6th St, Avalon, New Jersey,
the home was moved in 2020 to save it from demolition.
We knew we had to save history - and what better town to bring history to? Cape May of course!
we've made some additions to the 1895 queen Anne Design
we've updated with history in mind
